Signe and Ane Gyllenberg Foundation's Collections now online

The Gyllenberg Art Collection currently consists of 410 pieces, of which 380 were purchased by Signe (1895–1977) and Ane (1891–1977) Gyllenberg. The art works are mainly Finnish art from the 19th and 20th centuries, but some works by older European artists are also included. Ane Gyllenberg's favorite artist Helene Schjerfbeck is represented with nearly 40 works. The object and furniture collection was thoroughly inventoried in 2020, and consists of items from the home of Signe and Ane.

Many of the items and art works are rarely on display, but now they are accessible to anyone, anywhere at any time via finna.fi. Villa Gyllenberg is closed due to renovation until January 2022. Take a look at the collections via this link.
